Our Story

The McCausland family has been Locksmithing since the late 1800’s. I’d write the whole history of how they started out, but Mr. Peabody and Sherman haven’t returned my call about borrowing their time machine.

What do we know? Charles McCausland Senior was one of 13 children. His Father a professional Locksmith and electrician, unexpectedly passed away at a young age. Charles senior took the knowledge that his father had coached him, and ventured down the Locksmithing route. As his own family grew, Charles past his knowledge and love of the trade to two of his sons Chuck and Tom.

Both Brothers became passionate about the trade and proudly opened their own shop in Prospect Park, in 1981.

Tom and his daughter Chrissy now run the shop with Chuck being semi-retired. The passion and knowledge for this trade still run strong with the family as they continue to teach and help others grow in this trade.

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.
